Music is the best
Here you'll find some of my favorite artists and bands (in no particular order). Check 'm out!
- Mike Keneally Check 'm out, along with his side projects. He's alotta fun. Boy-ish, musicians' music with some true gems.
- Frank Zappa. An all time favorite. Anytime, anywhere, any place, for no reason at all.
- Galactic Cowboys. A great band combining heavy rock with Beatle-esque melodies and vocals
- King's X, well, they kick ass! Especially on the cd Dogman.
- Kevin Gilbert. A true song writer in an eighties / nineties style of music.
- King Crimson. More than twenty years progressive rock.
- David Torn. A true sound creator. AKA Splattercell.
- John Zorn. One of the most innovative contemporary composers.
- Lewis Taylor. British soul. Unfortunately, he quit the music business.
- N.E.R.D. Funky with a rock edge.
- Amon Tobin. Spacey, yet edgy kinda electronic music. Truly a unique style. Nice!
- Boards of Canada.
- No-Man. Poetry-like lyrics accompanied by melancholic music (Tim Bowness & Steven Wilson).
- Porcupine Tree. starting off as a Pink Floyd sort off band, now dwelling in the more (hard) rock areas.
- Bass Communion. Yet another Steven Wilson project.
- Outkast. Quirky R&B
- Björk. quite adventurous.
- Joni Mitchell. An all time favorite of mine.
- Vince Mendoza. A very fine composer, arranger and conductor of his own music and that of Joni Mitchell and Björk.
- Weather Report. Adventurous world music (for lack of a better description)
- Armenian Navy Band with band leader Arto Tunçboyaciyan. Avant Garde folk music.
- India. New York salsa sung by a magnificent voice.
